Product Care

Linen Care.

Linen is one of the oldest fabrics and one of the easiest fabrics to care for. All our linens are machine washable in cool to warm water. The smooth long fibers in linen help resist dirt and stains. We recommend using a gentle PH balanced detergent that is perfect for all natural or organic fibres. You can also pre-soak any stains before washing. Never use bleach, as it destroys natural fibers! If there are stains, use a non-chlorine oxygen bleach. Linen gets better with age and softens the more it is washed. It absorbs water quickly and then dries quickly – perfect for humid climates. Linen is durable and strong, eco-friendly and resists pilling. Line dry. Ironing is optional and easier to do while the linen is damp. Be sure to dry throughly before storing.

Wool Care – We recommend dry cleaning all wool throws.

Alpaca Care - We recommend dry cleaning all Baby Alpaca or Alpaca Lambswool throws. Alpaca clothing can be dry cleaned or when advised, we recommend hand washing in cool water with a very mild soap or baby shampoo. Do not use the hand wash cycle and never use bleach as it will damage the natural fibres. Soak the garment and then gently press to remove water. Do not wring or twist the garment as it may affect the shape. Roll in white towels to remove moister. Lay flat to dry and block the garment to reshape it to the original dimensions.
